Open Space Uganda’s Annual National Youth Festival is back yet again- bigger, better, dapper. The Annual National Youth Festival is a high level youth meeting between ordinary young people, elected representatives and key stakeholders to debate current issues. At the festival, young people (16 to 30) are able to freely interact and engage with politicians, diplomatic missions, academia, media, the private sector and civil society through customised debates, speeches, exhibitions and workshops.

Since its founding in 2011, the festival has attracted close to 3000 youth and 100 exhibitors every year.

You can expect to find different innovators showcase some their applications that they hope will change the lives of youth in Uganda.

Now in it’s 8th year, the organisers wish to tender a different type of exhibition that is mostly experiential.

This year’s festival is convened under the theme ‘Let Young Women Lead’ aimed at highlighting the priceless contribution of women to the social economic development of the country to join the conversation, follow the official hashtag, #ANYF18 and live updates on Open Space Uganda’s facebook page.

Entrance to the exhibitions and the Festival is entirely free- be there (Freedom Square) or nowhere.
