Google’s native authenticator app has been in the shadows of android beauty for long. The app which the security conscious have been using sync Two-factor authentication codes with services like Facebook, Google, etc.
Google Authenticator has been very ugly with a “holo” feel unlike its’ update counterparts like Gmail, Google Finance etc. The latest update brings a new icon, material design together with a Android wear support, a few bug fixes, and a developer preview support for support for NFC Security Key (FIDO Universal 2nd Factor protocol).
You can visit the Google Playstore to get this update or download the apk from here.
The latest update wasn’t available from playstore so ended up downloading from here (apkmonk.com/download-google-authenticator-4-44-apk/)
I use this app all the time and it works great, but do not like removing the option for a dark theme
