Apple has announced Creator Studio updates that bring MotionVFX content into Final Cut Pro, expand Logic Pro music tools and add AI assistants to Pages, Numbers and Keynote. The updates arrive in November, free for existing subscribers.
Video, images and music
Final Cut Pro for Mac gains built-in MotionVFX templates, titles, transitions and effects. Apple’s Content Hub expands to video assets. Editors can open timeline images in Pixelmator Pro and save edits back without manually reimporting them.
Pixelmator Pro introduces Generate Fill for editing selected image areas from a written description. Logic Pro gains a redesigned sound Browser, improved drum separation in Stem Splitter and an assistant to help Mac users navigate production tasks.
AI for productivity
Beta assistants in Pages, Numbers and Keynote use document context to help with writing, calculations, visualisations and slide design. The apps also gain Model Context Protocol support for automation on macOS 27 or later.
The productivity assistants require an Apple Intelligence-capable device running iOS 27, iPadOS 27 or macOS 27 or later and initially support US English. Logic Pro’s assistant requires a compatible Mac with macOS 27 and is initially available in US English.
Pricing and availability
US subscriptions cost $12.99 monthly or $129 annually. Eligible students and educators pay $2.99 monthly or $29.99 annually. Free versions of Pages, Numbers, Keynote and Freeform remain available.
Freeform’s Pixelmator editing and editable shape generation arrive separately in December. Individual features depend on device and software compatibility.
