Everjobs launched in Uganda today at a fully filled press event at Protea. Everjobs is a startup which aides people search and apply for jobs online together with the ability to receive feedback. Call it a job board if you can.
Eric Lauer the co-founder of Everjobs in Africa and Managing Director of Everjobs in Africa started the event with the usual slides showcasing insights on Uganda’s GDP and the job sector. Eric shared how the company has shareholders like Rocket Internet and MTN to enable the stability.
Greater employability and more opportunites for all – Everjobs
It aims to simplify the job application process in Uganda which is usually done offline and this process is usually slow and tiresome. Everjobs solves problems of job seekers and recruiters which include limited access to information, limited links with HR and Professional network on the side of Job seekers. Everjobs also intends to solves the problems of time lost from paper-based CVs, limited pool of relevant candidates, shortages of technical expertise and the risk of fake CVs.
Ronald the global co-founder of Everjobs shared that Everjobs is a free service for job seekers. However recruiters can also search the Everjobs database to finds potential employees however contact information will not be available because Everjobs values these as its assets.
Everjobs will not only stop online but it will also visit Universities to train students on how to venture into the job market. This is one of their niches when you compare them to competition.
