Google has choosen to name its soon to be released Android OS after a popular type of candy.
Google has foregone its previously rumoured name “key limepie. ”
Google hasn’t broken any trademark or patent rights and Google claims that no money was exchanged in the deal. The new KitKat statue appears in the image , however no updates on the OS have been announce except a statement on the android Kitkat® website saying “It’s our goal with Android KitKat to make an amazing Android experience available for everybody.”
Google went ahead to tell us that “As everybody finds it difficult to stay away from chocolate we decided to name the next version of Android after one of our favorite chocolate treats, Kitkat®!”
Lets hope its as sweet as KitKat. We’ll let you know on any updates on Kitkat®
