Family members of the late Joseph Senoga have publicly distanced themselves from Nampeera Julian Senoga, a 40-year-old woman accused of engaging in a same-sex relationship, following an incident that reportedly occurred on January 10, 2025, in Makulubita Village.

According to local sources, Julian was allegedly found with Nakimuli Grace after a tip-off from her sister-in-law, Najjuka Maria. The situation quickly drew attention from residents, some of whom gathered at the scene before authorities intervened.

She was later taken to Makulubita Police Station, where a case of alleged “unnatural offence” was recorded under reference number SD/011/01/2025.

Residents of Busega Kigwanya Village and neighboring areas have since voiced concern over the incident, calling on authorities to ensure that Julian is re-arrested after reportedly failing to comply with police bond conditions. Members of the community say they want the matter handled through the legal system, emphasizing the importance of accountability and adherence to the law.

Some residents expressed worries about the potential influence such cases may have on young people, urging leaders and authorities to strengthen community guidance and awareness efforts. At the same time, local leaders have appealed for calm, cautioning against mob action and stressing that justice must be pursued lawfully.

Police sources indicate that the suspect’s whereabouts are currently unknown, with reports suggesting she may have fled the country. Authorities have noted that further measures, including possible international cooperation, could be considered to trace and apprehend her.

Law enforcement agencies continue to call on members of the public to provide any credible information that may assist in the investigation, while reiterating that all individuals are entitled to due process under the law
