Uganda Airlines has unveiled three new routes, adding Abuja, Lusaka, and Harare to its growing network. The airline will commence services to Abuja on September 12, followed by Lusaka and Harare on September 25.

Jennifer Bamuturaki, CEO of Uganda Airlines, made the announcement, marking a significant milestone in the airline’s ambitious expansion plans.

“We are excited to announce this milestone in our expansion plans,” said Bamuturaki. “Our vision is to connect Africa, and this launch brings us closer to achieving that goal.”

This strategic move aims to bridge geographical gaps across the continent, enhancing connectivity between East, West, North, and South Africa. By entering these new markets, Uganda Airlines plans to optimize regional operations, increase fleet utilization, and tap into underserved routes.

With the addition of Abuja, Lusaka, and Harare, Uganda Airlines will now serve 17 destinations. These include Nairobi, Mombasa, Dar es Salaam, Bujumbura, Johannesburg, Dubai, Zanzibar, Lagos, Kinshasa, Mumbai, Mogadishu, Juba, and Kilimanjaro.

In recent years, Uganda Airlines has experienced significant growth, including a 20% increase in traffic at Entebbe Airport and enhanced revenue growth. The expansion aims to position the airline for long-term profitability.

Bamuturaki expressed confidence in the airline’s ability to deliver efficient and convenient services to passengers on the new routes.

“We are committed to providing our customers with exceptional service and connecting Africa like never before,” she said.

The new routes are expected to boost trade, tourism, and economic growth in the region, offering passengers reliable and efficient services from Uganda Airlines.
